Hope United Church of Christ and First Congregational United Church of Christ Join Together for Pride Event ~ Saturday, July 6
The month of June is LGBTQIA Pride Month. 2019 is the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall riots that took place the last weekend in June in NYC, which was a pivotal moment in Pride history.
Mark your calendars! Hope Missions will be sponsoring a booth at Cedar Rapids (CR) Pride Fest in the Newbo City Market on July 6 from 11 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. This year we’ll be joined by First Congregational UCC to represent open and affirming churches who have radical hospitality in the CR area.
We’re still looking for a couple more people to join us at the booth from 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. If you’d be able attend, please contact Carrie Lane at carrielane77@hotmail.com or let Pastor Mary Beth know.
