Nearly twenty individuals enjoyed the burgers and fries at the July outing to Burgerfry, where the shakes were so thick one needed a spoon to enjoy them and the burgers were made fresh with all the fixings.

Our September outing will take place on Thursday, September 17, at 12:00 p.m. at the Mandarin Spice Asian Grill, located at 1412 Twixt Town Road, Marion.

Though the focus is Cantonese Chinese cuisine, the eatery also offers a few dishes from neighboring Asian countries, like sushi, with fish selections based on what’s available from Chicago, and Pad Thai. The orange sesame chicken, for example, is made with fresh oranges and no corn syrup. Everything on the menu, from signature dishes like Mongolian steak or Chilean sea bass to appetizers like crab-stuffed avocado or lettuce wraps, is stir fried, steamed or baked.

Come experience one of Cedar Rapids’ newest restaurants along with great fellowship. A sign-up sheet is in the church’s main entryway or RSVP to Pastor Mary Beth at mbhartenstein@gmail.com.
