Sunday, July 21, is a very special day at Hope United Church of Christ as we celebrate our children and youth when they share about their VBS experience. Through song and story, they will tell of their adventures as they participated in Roar: Life Is Wild, God Is Good. We are continuing our support of the VBS mission project – Heifer International, with our goal to raise enough funds to buy a cow ($500). As of today, we are nearly half way to our goal!

A special note to parents: children and youth are to arrive at 8:45 a.m. so that we can practice the songs for the morning; they are to wear a colorful shirt and/or dress; and a lite snack will be served following rehearsal.

Following worship, we will have a congregational meeting to update our members and friends about how the first three weeks of our expansion and renovation project is progressing as well as vote on the financing package to continue this exciting work.

Everyone will get to enjoy the delicious treats featured from Kona Ice following the meeting.

Come to 150 9th Avenue, Hiawatha, IA, at 9:30 a.m. to catch all of the excitement of the morning. See you there!
